Accreditation

North Idaho Christian School (NICS) is fully accredited by Cognia, formerly AdvancED. NICS received this accreditation on June 25, 2015. Additionally, NICS is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Both agencies are recognized by the United States Department of Education.

NCAA approved. The core high school courses have been approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

The combined average SAT score for the six 11th and 12th grade students from NICS is 1210. Way to go!!! The average NICS EBRW score is 608 and the average NICS Math score is 605. The latest College Board data indicates that the average SAT score for graduating seniors was 1060 (533 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW), 527 Math), which means that good SAT scores for 2018 are those above the average SAT score of 1060. Additionally, Idaho’s public school combined average is 1006 and here locally the Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy combined average is 1287. What a great start to the addition of the SAT.

Curriculum

The administration and staff evaluate our curriculum to see what best meets the needs of our students. Most, but not all, of our curriculum, is from Christian publishers. for example, we use purposeful design, Bob Jones and more. Regardless of the curriculum used, all classes are taught from a biblical worldview.

STEM
STEM courses are taught in addition to the regular curriculum to students in grades 1st through 7th. High School students are eligible to work toward a STEM designated diploma.
